Motherlode Group has once again been invited to exhibit at the Allen County Public Library’s Jeffery Krull Art Gallery. For this event we wish to connect established adult female artists with young female artists ages 12-18. As the title of the exhibition suggests, the theme of the work will be very broad, however, the size of the work will be limited to 8”x8” (unframed). The final framed piece can be no larger than 15”x15”.
The Motherlode Group was developed to illustrate the strength of female artwork. As we have grown, the group has evolved into a connection between professional artists of all disciplines as well as to those artists in their early stages. The organization continues to establish a common ground where female artists can meet, inspire one another and grow from the experience.

Eligibility: All female artists and all media
Entry Fees for Adult Artists Only: A non-refundable entry fee of $20.00, sent separately to Motherlode Group, P.O. Box 40131, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, for up to four images and $10.00 per extra image. Make Check Payable to: Motherlode Group. Images for review must be on a CD. We will not be accepting slides for review.
No Entry Fees for artists ages 12-18: one entry per young artist please (on a CD)
Completed CD entries must be in jpeg format, no larger than 5 mg. and must arrive at the Motherlode Croup, P.O. Box 40131, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, no later than August 1, 2009. These CDs will be reviewed by an outside juror, selections will be made and artists will be notified by email or post no later than August 10, 2009. CDs received after that date will not be reviewed.
All selected work must be original. Giclee prints are allowed as long as the original was created by the artist. All artists must include in their delivered work an artist statement of one sentence.
Once work has been selected and artists have been notified as to whether or not they will exhibit or the number of pieces selected to exhibit, artists may feel free to contact any committee member with questions regarding the exhibition. The following page will serve as your entry form. Please fill it out as designated, sign and return to Motherlode, P.O. Box 40131, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Accepted artists will receive several invitations to send out on their own before the show opens. There will be an opening night celebration on September 11th from 7-9 PM in the Jeffery Krull Gallery.

Entry Requirements:
- All work must be 8”x8” unframed and final finished framed image no larger than 15"x15".
- Submit images in CD format/jpeg only
(1 image/youth, 4 images/adult) for jury
- Label each CD with name, contact info and images coordinating with entry form
- Include one typed sentence of your artist statement referencing your work

- All final accepted shipped work must include prepaid return shipping label. Shipping peanuts will not be accepted.
